just wanted to share...

Good morning! I am usually not on the computer this early in the morning (in fact before I found this message board I was rarely on the computer at all)... but I just wanted to share a quick bit from my morning that will hopefully put a smile on your face- as it did mine.
A number of years ago I began a prayer journal that I write in every day- sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. This morning, as I was writing in my prayer journal, I realized I kept wanting to put different "Smilies" all over the page to help express what I was feeling... just as I do on this board, & I see so many of you other ladies using in your messages. I put a happy face & then when I was trying to make a "wink" face - it turned out quite angry looking (the "Smilies" on here turn out much better ). It made me realize how much I have grown to appreciate HOD & the wonderful support from this board all within the last couple of months that I have known about it!!
Thank-you for all the encouragement and prayers that so many of you send out!

Jessica - I bet that is wonderful looking back through your prayer journal and seeing what God has done in your life. I enjoy coming to this board so much too, and the little smilies have become a staple for me as well. In fact, I was typing an email the other day, wishing I had the little smilies to include, so I know just what you mean. When we all work to be positive, uplifting people, we can be a light to each other, each and every day! I think this is especially a struggle for women - as we can be more prone to getting emotional - so this board is a testament to ladies keeping negative emotions in check and instead being united in sharing Jesus' light in a beautiful way with others! I've been on other boards, so I know this is a rare blessing. That is why I love coming here. I can see Jesus at work not only in our children's hearts through the use of HOD, but also at work in our hearts through the message board.

It is so great to have found HOD. I am thanking God for leading you to it! Just as I am thanking God for leading me to find it too!
I know, I wasn't on the computer much before I found HOD either. My husband, who is a computer freak (I mean that affectionately), is so happy now that he doesn't get a from me or a when he is on the computer anymore...
All joking aside, I agree wholeheartedly with you and Julie about what a huge blessing this group is to our families. It has really impacted my life

I agree! I am always wishing I had smilies on my emails now!

The board has been a huge blessing to our family as well, as we get to connect daily with moms using HOD in their homes. It gives each of us a chance to uplift and encourage one another and to share our joys and our struggles as we travel the homeschool road.

Any time we get a chance to meet moms face-to-face at conventions that we've visited with on this board, we feel an instant rapport as if we've known each other personally for years! Our constant prayer is that the Lord will bring to HOD those who would be blessed by it. So, each of you are an answer to our prayer.

Incase you are interested, you can have smiley faces on your emails with the free email service incredimail by microsoft. It doesn't cost anything and there are hundreds of dancing smiley faces letters etc. It is very easy to use, and no downfalls withit after using it for 3 + years
