Could a child finish up 6B at the end of 7th grade and be ready for an eighth grade math program by then. (Could they be ready for Saxon's Algebra 1/2 course?)
Also if we were to finish up 5B at the end of 6th grade, could they proceed to another curriculum's 7th grade math's textbook?
I am just concerned because my ds will be using 2A and B in 3rd grade and want to know that when we make the transition over to another curriculum in middle school that he would be able to easily transition to the age appropriate textbook? KWIM?
Thanks!

Re: Singapore ?
You'd be all set to go! A great program to follow Singapore would be VideoText and this might be Carrie's choice in the future as well.
Another one I personally like and fits about any budget, is Life Of Fred. It's not taught via video like some others, but it is student led with minimal parent involvment. My plan since we'll be on such a tight budget for a while (with dh as a student for several more years), is to do Life of Fred: Fractions and LoF: Decimals and Percents along side Singapore 5 or 6 or possibly over a summer. I''ll plan on doing his soon-to-be-released Pre-Alg in 7th and his Beginning Alg in 8th. Even if all we finish in Singapore is 5B, that's going to be plenty. So, with the plan, you can see that I've got a lot of faith in how well Singapore Math prepares kiddos for higher level math. Even after just finishing 5B in 6th, your dc should be plenty ready for any curriculum's 7th grade program.
