REALLY Like RME Wrorbooks

Post by mrsrandolph » Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:24 pm

I just wanted to say that i really like the new Reading Made Easy workbooks. They give the kids a chance to practice all of the new sounds and concepts. The kids enjoy the pages. They go quickly.

With the workbook CD, I got a FREE Frances Study Guide (goes along with the Frances Books), and I LOVE that too!

Another satisfied RME workbooker here too! We're almost done with workbook 1 and it really helps cement the lesson in a very deceptively simple fashion. My son is actually forced to read instead of just follow the phonics pattern taught in the lesson. It's very effective! And he enjoys it, even if it is a bit challenging at times :D And I like that it is a bit challenging, even though it's enjoyable!

Hi! I will be doing RME with my dd this next school year and I am wondering about the workbooks! Did you get them through HOD and are they scheduled in? How do you schedule them? Where did you get them? Any extra info. would be greatly appreciated! :D

Thanks and God bless, Michelle

You can get them from the RME site...you just print the pages you need and do them with the corresponding lesson. Or you could do the lesson, then the pages the next day. Depending on what pace you are trying for. They are very easy to plan in b/c they are numbered the same as the teaching guide. :D

Ladies,

I'm so glad to hear the wonderful feedback on the RME workbooks. :D They have actually been a new project of Valerie Bendt's this year, and we'll definitely be carrying the workbooks in some form. We're in the process of adding them to our product line. Until then, you can always get them from Valerie's website and enjoy them along with RME! :D

Tamara had gotten a chance to test them as they were being written and was gracious enough to share her feedback with all of us. Thanks, Tamara! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

I ordered the RME teaching manual with the LHFHG package, but I did not order the CD. Can I print the workbooks right off of a website or do I need to purchase the CD to get the workbooks?
Thank you in advance!
Blessings,

I think she had planned on providing an instant download to get you started while the cd was in the mail. I'm not certain if she decided on this or not though.
