I am choosing HOD because it seems, to me, that it lends itself somewhat to the CM method. I am just wondering how/if DITHOR fits the CM method. Since CM essentially uses narration for literature (really, for just about every subject), it almost seems to me that DITHOR would not be needed if one is doing CM method w/ HOD.
If any of you are using CM method and DITHOR I would love to hear your thoughts.

I've used DITHOR for many, many years now, and I also love CM's methods.
DITHOR teaches dc to savor books, by reading excellent living books slowly and really "getting to know" them. 
The discussions we have using DITHOR parallel those we would have using CM methods. CM would have loved the Godly character trait focus as well. We've found DITHOR to be foundational in teaching dc story elements. This kind of vocabulary has helped our dc prepare for the years to come of lit. studies, etc. Reading a variety of excellent literature from every type of genre has helped my dc love many different kinds of books than they would have tried on their own. DITHOR has also filled a creative outlet through its kickoffs and final genre projects. I think DITHOR fits well with HOD and CM's methods as well. In Christ,

We thoroughly cover narration (both oral and written) throughout the history/science/read-alouds/independent readings within our guides so DITHR fills a different niche in the CM-style education.
It gives the story element look that CM did include within her pre-lessons for books and makes those types of studies accessible in a planned way. CM herself included this type of guided questioning and thinking along with the reading as kiddos got older. Together DITHR works with the rest of our guide to cover all facets of a strong CM education.
