Supplemental Emerging Readers....
Supplemental Emerging Readers....
I really am wanting to get some of the supplemental (optional)
Emerging Readers for my kids as outside school reading. There are a lot of them, so I am wondering what some of the favorites are?

Love my husband of 18 years this year;
Love my 3 teenagers--13, 15, and 16. They keep me young, but hanging on for dear life!
Used HOD in the earliest years with all three of them!

LeAnna,
It's too hard to narrow down! We loved all of them. Most of them are classics that have been around awhile. You can't go wrong with any that you can get your hands on!
Blessings,
Carrie

We have been getting them at the library first to see which ones are our favorites. My ds really loved Dust for Dinner, Daniel's Duck, A Week-end with Wendell, Dolphins, Whales, and Billy and Blaze books (we own all those).
Actually I have not found any of them not to be interesting myself and neither has my son.
We have not even started on the regular readers in the Emergent Reader program yet, we are finishing the 2nd Bible and he read all the ones I had gotten at the library to check out! My ds just loves to read, so I need to keep the books coming and I can't buy them all
Success and enjoy. Good choices Carrie!

We've loved all of the ones we can get our hands on too!
Both of our sons have LOVED the Billy and Blaze series. In fact, my oldest ds was reluctant to pass them down to Riley even though they are well below his normal reading level now. I practically had to pry his fingers off of them!
Truly, any of them you can find for the funds you have would be great. If you can get them all - do! If not, I'd do some price checking and also try to represent each genre.

Julie
