Question for Julie about Preparing Timeline

Post by LynnH » Tue May 19, 2009 6:00 am

Julie,
I saw in the weekly update the picture of Wyatt with his timeline. What is that made of? I like the fact that we could slide it behind something and then pull it back out. I was going to put ours on the back of the door, but it would be nice to have something I could put out of sight if I needed to.

It's hard to see on that picture, but that actually is the inside of a closet door. Our entryway has a painted wardrobe type closet. :D It worked well to put the timeline there. If you'd like to fold it up though, I would think you could use 3 or 4 white large tagboard posters, tape them together vertically on the back with packing tape, and then accordian fold them along the taped areas to make it flat and the size of one of the posters. We'd thought about doing that too! HTH! :D

Lynn H,
The foldable cardboard fabric cutting boards work perfectly for this very thing.
One side is completely plain, excellent for timelines. They are extremely durable.
The average dimensions are 36'' wide X 72'' long. Lots of room for characters.
Check out your local fabric store or a chain store. They usually run around $15.00.
If you'd like a smaller timeline, try the foldable cardboard project boards. Walmart
sells them in their school section for $5.95, I think. They run 36 x 48.
