OT: Please pray for my son!

Post by mom2fiveboysnc »

My 20-yr old who got married in September lost his wife to cancer and blood clots on Saturday. They both were born again this summer so we are happy about that but he is having a hard time grieving. She got sick in November and went downhill really fast. I can't tell if he is handling things much, much better than I am expecting him to or if it has not sunk in yet. He has been unemployed since November (her too) and she has been in 4 different hospitals since Nov about 3 months total plus numerous ER visits. They had no insurance and the hospital in Chapel Hill just got her medicaid application sent off the day before she died so we don't know if it will get approved or not. At this point I have told him not to worry about hospital bills, etc. to focus on getting through each hour by hour and each day. He is doing a lot of Bible study and talking to the pastor and other good friends (most who are Christian, thankfully). Prayers are coveted for him and family. Thanks, Cheryl

Oh, Cheryl. How heartbreaking! I'm praying for you and your son right now. I know this must be devastating for him, but praise the Lord that we don't sorrow as those who have no hope! But we do still sorrow... I lost my mom 2 1/2 years ago, and it's still hard.
