"BOX" day (not books!)

Post by 8arrows » Mon Apr 20, 2009 12:09 pm

Tessa Celeste ("Heavenly Fourth One"), our 8th child, 4th girl arrived Tuesday. She was 8.5 pounds, but she was a difficult delivery because her head was facing the wrong direction. I am even more amazed at God's creation than I have been the past seven times. I just look at her in awe! I have lots of help (smile!). We are doing some school today--as order was needed. It is strange teaching Algebra 1 and 2 and nursing a baby. I am looking forward to catching up on the board as I am starting to feel better. You just don't bounce back quite as quickly at 40!

No, say it ain't so! I'll be 40 for this one.

Seriously though, CONGRATULATIONS! I am thrilled for you but very surprised you are doing schoolwork so soon. The first 2 weeks are usually a sleep deprived blur I thought.

Congrats! I'm glad you are up and well enough to do school. (I'm pretty shocked too since I wouldn't have been up to it so soon.)

Lee Ann and Crystal, Remember, there are 8 of them and one of me. We need some structure and order. I would not have been able to do anything before today if I had wanted to, and we are only doing partial school (1/2 days--3/4 days this week).
Tessa is sleeping one three hour stretch during the night, so I am doing all right on sleep.

Congratulations on your very special "Box Day"! :D We are rejoicing with you on the arrival of your sweet baby girl. I'm so sorry it was a difficult birth, and I am in agreement that it's not as easy bouncing back at 40. I was turning 39 when we had our last little sweetie!

Wishing you 4 hour stretches of sleep! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Welcome to the world Baby Tessa! :D Congrats to you as well 8Arrows! I had the same thought about the whole "bouncing back after baby" thing this last time around. I was 36, but it sure seemed harder (physically) than when I was in my late 20's. :D I will say it's nice to feel like you "know what you're doing", which you surely must by now. I pray you will continue to get more and more sleep, and that your other dc will continue to be your helpers, as well as dh. :D

In Christ,
