I just ordered BHFIG on Thursday! I have a few questions as I am continuing to look over the catolog and website and think about future years. It appears that in Bigger a lot of the readers go along with the history, but there are some that don't. As I looked at Preparing the readers look like they may correlate to history, but some did not. It was the same with CTC. Some of them looked like they would go along with American History more??? Just trying to fit all the pieces together. So my question is do the read alouds and readers tie into the history topic or are they seperate? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Readers/Read Alouds
Re: Readers/Read Alouds
It depends on the year. HOD likes to keep things feeling fresh and new, so some things are different from year to year. In Bigger Hearts, the storytime read-alouds do not link to the history. In PHFHG, they do. In CTC, the history set does, but you also have the choices of girl interest or boy interest if you'd rather focus on the genres more. We've really enjoyed the diversity of read-alouds each year, and I bet you will too!

Thanks so much, Julie! I can't wait for my things to arrive and actually be able to get my hands on the books.
