Spelling in Bigger

Could someone give me an idea of the spelling lists in Bigger? Is there an example of the words somewhere?

The spelling list in Bigger is for 2nd graders. If you have a 3rd grader, you can use the dictation passages that are also in the manual.
The * words are the target words that do not follow the spelling rule.
The list for unit 16 is:
Rule"ir" in girl.
thirty
chirp
birch
girls
twirl
thirst
skirt
dirty
*hurt
*their
