OT: Prayer Request..

Post by Amey » Tue Mar 03, 2009 3:20 pm

Hi ladies,

I just want to ask you all to pray for my Uncle tonight. He is receiving his second liver transplant at 6pm. He is barely eligible to receive it as he is so ill, so please pray that his body will be able to withstand the operation and that there will be no rejection. It means a lot to me that I can come and post this here and know that he will be lifted up. He's young, only in his 50's...

Amey,

Praying fro your uncle that he will heal well and that the surgery will go well. Also praying for wisdom of the doctors and for God to guide their hands.
Praying also for your family as you go through this. Hang in there. :)

Oh Amey,

I know so well how scary this is. My dad had half of his liver removed due to cancer in December. His chances were not good, but I felt the presence of the Lord. I pray that for you and your whole family. (especially your uncle) Hang onto Isaiah 43:1-5

But now, sweet daughter, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom;
I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.
“Do not be afraid, for I am with you.

Thanks so much girls, for your prayers and support, it warms my heart :) He is in surgery right now and they said it will take about 10 hours, so I will not know the outcome until tomorrow although my sister is keeping me updated via her Blackberry phone as they go (since we are in Mexico). He was in high spirits when he went in. Thanks again for taking time out to lift him up. I showed my husband all of your kind responses, and he thought it was awesome that we have that here on this board..love it.
