In Beyond, what are you having the kids write their poetry in?
Thanks,

Love my husband of 18 years this year;
Love my 3 teenagers--13, 15, and 16. They keep me young, but hanging on for dear life!
Used HOD in the earliest years with all three of them!
My ds chose a three-ring binder at the beginning of the school year. I added dividers for the different subjects, including poetry. He writes the poem on standard lined paper and puts it in a page protector. It then goes in the poetry section of the binder. Everything is in page protectors and nicely organized. All his work is in one place and will be a nice portfolio of his first grade year. That's just what I do. I hope you get some more ideas.

I will have a young 5 1/2 year old, so I was wondering what to do for her. She is still going to be working on her handwriting, so i was going to move on to A Reason For Handwriting A for that. I didn't know if some of you were using some sort of handwriting notebooks.

If you felt that the copy work would be too much, you could always photocopy the poem and have her copy one or two lines in a primary handwriting pad and let her decorate the photocopy. As her handwriting improves, she could copy more lines.
