I'm trying to figure out what test to do for my ds, 2nd grade. We are using BLHHG and A Beka math. He is doing very well.
I wanted to do the Woodcock-Johnson test but it's hard to find here in NH where we have moved. So I'm thinking about the CAT or Iowa. I'm new to this testing stuff. We came from NC and we did the WJ test last year for our own assessment but our hs group scheduled it.
What test do you recommend doing with using HOD?
Thanks for any help!
Katherine

Re: What test to do?
Hi Katherine,
I am in NC. The Woodcock-Johnson seems to be really 'big' here!
I hope you are doing well with your move! I know it can be hard to transition!
We use the IOWA basic skills test. We order it through Bob Jones University.
We adminster it ourselves (my husband does). You have to have a bachelor's degree to adminster it yourself, otherwise you have to find an adminstrator.
It is a very thorough test. We considered using the W-J this year- but are again going with IOWA(now for two sons.)
If you need an adminstrator- you should be able to find one through your local home school group or your state's group.
I hope this helps!
