Hello all.
My son is 5, in kindergarten and a kinesthetic learner with some a few traits of the other learning types, but for the most part, a kinesthetic one. I'm wondering if the blhfhg is a good curriculum for his learning type? I want to start making a good decision for his 1st grade year. Thank you! He loves learning just more playing games, doing activities etc than sitting and listening.

Re: Kinesthetic Learner
Heart of Dakota's programs are great for kinesthetic learners. There is a lot of variety in the learning you'll do everyday.
(I'm sure it helps that Carrie, the author, has 4 boys of her own she's writing these programs for.
) I have been loving the activities that we're doing in Bigger and LHTH! They're meaningful and are super-easy to do, using supplies that I have around the house and directions that my kids can follow and do the activity themselves (instead of watching me do them).
You'll have to check out the placement chart and see which program your little guy fits into. Here's the link for that. http://www.heartofdakota.com/placing-your-child.php
Welcome to HOD! It's nice to "meet" you!

Re: Kinesthetic Learner
Thank you Kathleen. I'm going to do the Bigger hearts for his glory b/c Tyler is already reading some, doing his math great and that's what the placement thing said.
Re: Kinesthetic Learner
This is actually one of the reason that we wrote our HOD guides for the younger years in the first place....
We found there was little curriculum out there which took into account the needs of a kinesthetic learner throughout the homeschool day. We found most guides had altogether too much seatwork and not enough purposeful movement.
So, we hope you'll find HOD fits your goals to cover your academic and Biblical needs, while getting your kiddos moving in a meaningful way.
Blessings,
Carrie
