My DD love Science TY Carrie!

Post by Tansy » Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:29 pm

yesterday on the way to INS .. we were finishing school in the car. We were doing the science. It was all about Leaves. We made a game out of the Small square book activity. It really helped pass the time waiting for our number to be called. She really loved it. But what I loved the most is that It stuck with her.

This morning while I was checking my email.. she pulled out her paper cutter thing (its safe but you can cut free form shapes with it, its really kinda cool).
She got out a neon green sheet of paper and started cutting out all sorts of leaf shapes. She then glued them to a hot pink piece of paper added the Words "I love leaves. They come in many shapes" Showed it to me and announced to me that it was to go in her science notebook.

Isn't she cute!

The social worker came yesterday for the homestudy update.
I miss my first social worker this new one is not as chummy.
Step 157 is now complete and I am just waiting on this update to do step 158 (driving all over creation getting every thing certifed again.)

day by day we get closer and closer.

Tansy,

You have such a creative little girl there! What a fun project she came up with all on her own. I love it when that happens! :D How sweet that she knew just where she wanted to put it too.

Just also wanted you to know that our family has been keeping you in our prayers with your new little dd on the way as you work through the process of bringing her home.

Blessings,
Carrie

i t has a metal pin that pokes holes in the paper. if u go really slow it works great. If you go fast its perferated (sp?) but you can still get the pieces apart.

I found mine in the clearance section of office depot

Your daughter is too cute - isn't that neat when they come up with their own ideas to "extend" learning? That's when you know they loved something - and probably never even thought of it as "school". I just said a prayer for you and your adoption process. May God bless you and your family and bring your adoption to pass with "Godspeed"!
