Hi there -
I simply wanted to share that I LOVE our library. I've been hemming and hawing for weeks over all the books inthe HOD plan that I would love for the children to read or that I would like to read aloud to them, but I knew I simply couldn't purchase anything at present.

I put in an interlibrary loan request for Benjamin West at our local library on Saturday and it arrived today!

WE started the book tonight and it's a keeper. A fantastic book - well, worth hunting down. While I was at the library I pulled out my list of other books that aren't in our system and which I do not have, such as Usborne Internet-Linked Ancient World, Woolly Mammoth, and Tirzah and the reference librarian was able to locate copies of all the books in the online catalogue. We actually live close to a library that I really enjoy supporting, but I never have any success with requesting books through ILL, so I took the time to phone the neighboring county that Is more affluent and was very excited when they said, "Yes, we can definitely get these books for you, but you'll need to come in and request the books." I did it today and they are all on the way. What a blessing!
