History Stories for Children

Post by netpea » Tue Jan 29, 2008 8:27 pm

Hi Carrie,
I was wondering if you would know whether CLP has a chronological list of the stories in the "History Stories for Children" book, perhaps in the teacher manual?

My kids love the book, but it drives me crazy the way the stories jump around from one time period to the next and back again.

Just thought I'd ask, if you don't know I'll see if they have contact info on their website.

Lee Ann, I'm not totally sure, but I think that the way Carrie has them scheduled in Little Hearts is chronological. If you follow the Little Hearts book, you'll be reading them in order. I have no idea why CLP didn't just put them in order when they made the book.

there's a thought... I could pull out my Little Hearts book, it's in a box somewhere in the closet till dd is ready for it. Let me see, where DID I put that.

:D Ok, I found my Little Hearts book and you are so right! It was easy to go through the book and put the page numbers down in a spreadsheet so we can go through the book again chronilogically. YAY!  :D

did I mention, I love spreadsheets...

LeeAnn,

Melanie already pointed you in the right direction, and I agree that the stories are in chronological order in "Little Hearts...". How wonderful that you have the guide to pull out. It will make the task much easier. :D

Thanks, Melanie!

Blessings,
Carrie
