Is there a level for a Sixth Grader?
My dd will be in 6th grade next school year. Does HOD have any programs aimed at this age level? Preparing is geared for 3rd and 4th grade. Is there a guide coming out that will aim closer to my dd's age? Thanks!

If you were to use Preparing with the extensions, it would be geared for 5th or 6th, I believe. Carrie is also working on the next guide which is Hearts for Him Through Time: Creation to Christ. I'm assuming that this next guide will be for 9-11 year olds. (It's the 1st in a 4 year history cycle that is planned.)

Hi,
I have a 10yo dd doing the Preparing guide this year for 5th. We are barely doing any extensions, and her day is very full. I'm sure it is meaty enough for a 6th grader too!

PHFHG has a target range of 8-10 years old, and with the extensions and higher LA and Math choices has an extended range for 11-12 year olds. So, no need to wait! HOD has something for you right now!
We're doing PHFHG right now too, and loving it. Nice to meet you, btw.

Hi,
My dd is 11 & doing PHFHG with the extensions & she is challenged plenty. I feel it is a perfect fit for her age range. My younger dd 8 is doing it as well & I feel she is doing ok but with help from me. So, don't hesitate to do PHFHG.
It is a wonderful program!!

playschool,
I'd agree with what the ladies have had to say here wholeheartedly. I think Preparing would be a good fit for your child. You would just need to choose the higher level of Rod and Staff, the higher level of math, and the higher level of Drawn into the Heart of Reading! If you need any help with those areas, we'd be glad to talk through it with you!
Blessings,
Carrie
