Justin Morgan Had a Horse question

We're reading this book for storytime with Bigger right now. It's historical fiction and today for our storytime we were to make a character map and then answer the question, "Did these people really live, or are they made-up?" I'm guessing that Justin Morgan is real, and Joel Goss as well? Are they all real or are some of them made up? And how do you know? We're only 5 chapters into the book, so maybe this will be more obvious as we go.

We've also started Historical Fiction for DITHOR, and are reading "Hannah". My ds thinks that most likely "Hannah" was real, too. I'm guessing that in that one, Hannah is made-up.

The Morgan Museum is only about 3 hours from where I live (and minutes away from my aunt!)! Looks like a future field trip! AND The Thornton Burgess Museum is about 3 hours from here and only 15 minutes from my mother-in-law!!!
