Reading Made Easy-funny

Post by Rebecca » Fri Oct 10, 2008 4:09 pm

I had a good chuckle today with my seven year old and wanted to share on the HOD boards!

Today, my seven year old and I started lesson 97 in RME. This is the start of the Gideon chapters. I read my portion. Then my son read his. Then we started discussing the picture. My son starting saying, "Is this a bridge mom?" "Is this a bridge?" He is flipping around in the pages. I am not getting it and looking around the house/book to see where he might have seen a bridge... Then I realized the picture study was asking him questions based on the chapter I read not just the section he read. I laughed heartily- and realized he was asking if his section was ABRDIGED! Something we talk frequently about in our house...
smart cookie...

Rebecca,

I can't believe that you were able to deciper what he meant! Moms are just in tune with their kiddos! I love it when the younger boys use big words that they've heard in their day-to-day. It is SO precious! :D

Thanks for sharing your cute moment! 8)

Blessings,
Carrie
