How yummy can you get?!?

Post by Leslie in TN » Thu Oct 02, 2008 11:54 am

I'm typing this with my mouth full of Egyptian pastry from week 6 of Preparing. Anything with food is bound to be one of my favorite activities.

Thanks for this one, Carrie! It's delicious!

You realize that some of us have to wait YEARS to try that Egyptian pastry right???? :( Waaaaaa!

I bet you and your kiddos had fun making it too (although maybe not as much as eating it! ). Carrie does do such a great job of making the lessons come to life, even with things like adding food to the lesson. I'm sure this will be something your kids don't forget! :D

Mmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking of it! We're coming up on that in Preparing soon, so now my sons will be looking forward to it (and me too!) :wink:I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Food is always a winner here!

Blessings,
Carrie

My kids really enjoyed the model of the earth in Beyond. It was for showing the earth's core, rocky layer, and then crust. Can't beat pudding, chocolate chips and crushed up graham crackers. It was also a great "in the kitchen" lesson. Two in one can anything be any better.

That's good to hear. - We'll be doing it next week. I might have to double the recipe so there's one left for Dad.

I have been looking for a unit on Egypt to prepare us for the visit to the museum for the King Tut exhibition. We just started BEYOND with my 6 year old and I've been wanting a reason to purchase PREPARING...now I have it.

The order has been placed! (oh! and I ordered BIGGER also...just in case there is something I NEED to know...)

Thank you Leslie!
