I finally ordered Bigger just in time

Post by anointedhsmom » Fri Sep 05, 2008 1:33 pm

 I am so happy!! I just ordered our BHFHG package and now I'm going to be dying to get it all. I ordered around noon HOD time. We will be doing Bigger Hearts, Grapevine Bible Studies, BJU for English, All About Spelling, and 1A,B Singapore math so I bought the Beyond manual for the hands on math lessons.

I am leaving on the 10th to go on a cruise and then a week at the beach. During that time I will be working on our daily schedule for the rest of the year. I'm having a ton of issues with my 2 year old. But that's a whole nother post that I'll be posting after I put that 2 year old down for nap

Already looking out the window for mail truck,

Dear Paige,
I am really excited for you!
I love the joy and excitement of HOD!

We are using Bigger too and it is really "fun" to find community here!
This year I am getting a "dunking" in HOD as I have started it with my entire family in all different levels!
I am using the Beyond manual, too, - the entire right side and poems for my second son.
I hope you have a great year!

God bless,
Rebecca

I just ordered Bigger too.... (from an online friend). I am going to use it with my dd. She is older but I wanted to start in this level  and I am going to do the extensions.

I am excited and keep waiting for the mail truck too.

I was kinda embarrassed to buy else where. I didn't get ALL of what I needed but I got Economy Pkg w/ science add ons, plus the hymn's for a kids heart, and Little Pillows.

Well, I haven't got it yet .... it is in route

I have several of the girls pkg, classic and extension :)

sorry Paige didn't mean to hijack your thread

Teena,

You didn't hijack my post at all. I had come on last night to reply to you on this post and then got sidetracked and never got back on the computer. I wouldn't be embarrassed about buying from a friend. We all understand needing to save money (me way to much lately  ). I have not told my husband I bought the Beyond manual and Singapore math yet  I've been selling a bunch of stuff to help put the money I spent back in the bank.

I also wanted to tell you not to be embarrassed about your daughter being older yet doing Bigger w/ extensions. One of the reasons we homeschool is so that we can give our children the personalized education that they need and we want to give them. I don't know how old your daughter is and it doesn't matter to any of us here either. I can tell you that my son is 9.5 and will be using the Emergent Readers (and he will have to have a ton of hand holding in the beginning of those emergent readers too), tested into Singapore 1A and will be doing 2nd grade level Lang. Arts. That's the one reason that I love HOD so much. Carrie has offered so many options in each guide that allows us to teach our children at their level in each subject.

Let us know when you get your "Box Day" I will too. I can't come soon enough.

Blessings,
Paige

Paige and Teena,

How I wish I could warn the mailmen that 2 moms will be chasing them down for their HOD packages! :D Beware mailmen - HOD moms can move fast when curriculum's on the way! :D I'm so excited for you 2 to begin Bigger... - we did it last year and had a blast!

In Christ,
Julie :)

thanks, Ladies. MY BOX CAME TODAY!!! I am so excited. Been getting everything ready. I didn't expect it at all. She just mailed it out on Friday.... and WOW today it came. I am very thrilled. My dd.... is 11 (just turned 11 last week). She could do Preparing but I wanted her to get some more American History, plus I loved the books in Bigger and she is NOT use to reading LOTS of books at one time. Oh just textbooks. She is really excited and kept wanting to open the box and tearing into it. :!:

Yes, you are right.... that is one of the reason why we hs.... :)

I know she will love this...... so my little guys are in LHFHG and my dd is BHFHG :)

DID your BOX COME??????

Box Day is the BEST!!! Hoping yours comes soon Paige. My kids tear into the wrappings of every book that even comes from swaptree :D If they think something has come that is hs-related they are grabbing the scissors and getting it open before i even know it's here :D I know over the past 3 or 4 months the postman doesn't know what to think about us, he must think i hit the lotto or something. i knew i was forgetting something at the 7-Eleven store :D

No box yet but the mail hasn't come today yet either. Teena I'm very jealous of your box day. I leave in the morning so I am really praying it comes today but don't think it will. It was mailed Sat. from HOD priority mail and I'm in TN so there's a chance it could come today. When I leave in the morning I will be gone until Sat night and then leave again Sunday morning for 2.5 weeks. So I can tear into it Sat. if it doesn't come today but I want it today. Paige stomps her foot and pouts :( :D

I'll let you guys know when I get it,
Paige - who's looking out the window at the mail box right now
Blessings,
