making Quails

Im really not a good follower of written instructions.I love picture illistrations-anyone got any tips on how to make the quails out of brown paper?or even a finished pic?TIA

Honestly I'm not sure if this is what it was suppossed to look like or not, but here is Evelyn's (and Joshua's) finished quail. We folded it like making a paper airplane, then glued on sequins for eyes and cut out "feathers" to glue on the tail and colored the beak with marker. It didn't fly very well. But they liked them!

Yep, they are just like paper airplanes. We followed the directions as written, and then after that my boys added paperclips and tried other ways of folding the quails to see which were the best flyers.

I must admit that holyhart's quails are adorable (and much cuter than ours were)!

Thanks for this post! We'll be making the quail this week and i was wondering just how we'll do it. My daughter LOVES doing anything crafty and needs to sharpen her cutting skills so I think I'll have her follow your example put some colorful feathers on her quail.
