Hi everyone.. we just finished our move from TN to OK and I missed all of you! It's so great to be online again -- and with high speed, too! I feel like a kid at Christmas!
I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm wondering if anyone has tips for placing your kiddo in the correct level of dictation. One of my dds will probably do Level 4 in the Preparing guide, but I'm not sure whether her sis should do 3 or 4. Should I simply call out some of the target words for her to spell and then go from there?
TIA!

That is one good way to try it. Once you get going with dictation, if you're finding your child needs to repeat the passages more than a couple of days in a row, you'll need to back up a level so it is not frustrating. It is always better to err on the side of too easy than to be too hard!
