How many are doing Preparing with 5th grader?

The way I understand it....we won't be able to finish the "history cycle" with HOD before high school.....how are you handling this? Does it bother you?

I'm doing Preparing with my 5th grader this year. I'll worry about 9th grade when we get there.

I will be doing Preparing with a 5th grader and a 3rd grader!

The fact that I wanted my oldest dd to be done with the cycle by high school is why I almost (that and it already had the 4 years finished) went with another curriculum, but just didn't feel it was "it" KWIM. I am not worried about it because I have 4 coming along after her and who it might or might now work out with anyway....so I am not worried about it.

I'll be using Preparing with my dd, a 5th grader this year. I have no problems with the history cycle. For our family I believe that God directs our homeschooling and we will cover what He leads us to... just exactly what dd needs!
Pray about it and trust it to Him!

Since the board has been revamped, I've noticed that you can't go back to past links from an old post. (And I'm definitely NOT computer savvy enough to be able to figure out a way to do it. ) So here is the thread that I had previously linked...viewtopic.php?f=6&t=670 It really made sense to me how water2wine shared how God had helped to bring her goals for her kids into perspective...something that I'll be trying to remember as my kiddos grow up. You'll have to scroll down about half way through that post.

I don't have a 5th grader yet, but I'd say that if you continue to proceed prayerfully, and God is leading you to continue with HOD, I wouldn't worry about finishing up in 9th grade a bit!!
