Beyond Little Hearts/DITHOR genre question

Post by dolphingirl » Tue Jul 22, 2008 12:14 am

Hi! If this is written somewhere and I've missed it, I apologize. I just wanted to check and see if it matters what order we do the genres in for DITHOR. I see that the storytime section in Beyond begins with biography. Is it best to also begin with biography in DITHOR or doesn't it matter? Any insight on this is much appreciated! Thanks!

You can do the DITHOR genres in whatever order you'd like! For us, I decided we would mix them up a bit so as not to match up with the genre in Beyond.. too much of a good thing and all that.. :) We're doing Adventure, Folk Tales, Mystery, Realistic Fiction, and then Nonfiction this year, in that order. We're all SO looking forward to starting!

Kristin,

You can do the DITHR genres in any order. :D When we did Bigger, we did match the first few genres and then went on to not matching, so you can do whatever suits your fancy. It works equally well both ways. :D

The important goal is to cover all 9 genres in 2 years using DITHR, no matter what order you do them in!

Blessings,
Carrie
