Grandpa’s Box
Grandpa’s Box
Did your children immediately enjoy the book? We are only on chapter 4 and so far they tolerate it, but don’t like or love it. They are a bit older (almost 10) compared to others who use the guide. Just wondering if it gets better?

Re: Grandpa’s Box
My 3 kids who I used it for as a read-aloud were around 8, 9, and 10 when I read it to them. By those ages, they knew a lot of Bible so it wasn’t new for them. However, they did end up enjoying the book overall. I used it as a read-aloud. Did it get better? I would have to say yes. It took about 7 - 8 chapters for us to really engage with the style of the book. Then we did enjoy it.

We engaged right away and loved it. My daughter was 8-9 when we were reading it and my then 5 turning 6 yo boy always wanted to listen in. They both ended up making their own "grandpa's box" with the corresponding figurines out of clay.

Re: Grandpa’s Box
I’m excited to see if it gets better after a few chapters. The first few have been a bit cheesy lol. Noah’s ark was better (ch 4) compared to first couple.
