Non-stressful day, thanks to Carrie and everyone

Post by blessedmomof4 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 12:04 am

Thanks to all you lovely ladies, I gave myself permission to take a day off. Mean Mommy was going to make the girls do school today while all the ps kids (including my high school son) and my hubby (who works in a ps) were off for Martin Luther King Day! But Mommy came to her senses and suggested we all go out for a picnic-there's a great park near us with a dog run, lots of playgrounds, and a few picnic tables, so we all packed up our lunch and stuff in the car and went out, even the furry member of the family :P It was great fun-the weather was pretty mild, the kids played a lot, and our doggie got plenty of exercise and made lots of new friends  Then we went home and had pizza for dinner and watched movies and ate kettle corn. We all had a relaxing day :D

Wow, now that sounds like fun! Wish it was warm enough here to go picnicking!

I was a mean Mommy and we had school today, but since we have been off since mid December, I didn't feel like we could take ANOTHER day off.
After Christmas and daddies vacation, we all got sick and have been that way for the last two weeks so we had to get back to work!!

Yeah for Great weather and days off!!!!

Blessings

It was freezing here, actually way past freezing, and cars weren't starting so we had school anyway. It was actually easy with the older ones to help with the 1 year old.

We'll play hooky once it get warm again.

This was good for us, because it's hard for me to relax! Always afraid to "get behind"...I'm glad I did it, but, back to work today :D

Lourdes,

Your day sounds wonderful! I am wishing we could picnic too.
It is way below zero here today, and the kids are indoors for recess once again. But, the sun is shining and we've made it to lunch, so things are looking up!

Hope you're having a great day today!

Blessings,
Carrie
