Using RTR for HS, with advanced Sci & LA

Hearing lots these days about "beefing up for High School" and trying to figure out if my plans are enough for next year.

My DS struggles with transitions, focus, organization, feeling overwhelmed (basically undiagnosed Executive Functioning deficits). He was unable to handle CTC when we started HOD 1 1/2 years ago so dropped down to Preparing (except for LA and Science), moved back to CTC with Ext (and R2R science & LA) this year, and is on schedule to finish CTC this spring. Next fall we will start RTR, with Rev2Rev's Advanced EE science and Rev2Rev's creative writing and R&S 5/6 (he's part way through 5 now). He will also continue with daily dictation (we do it 4-5 days per week, rather than just as scheduled).

So, since history (with Ext.), science and LA (spelling, composition, grammar) are taken care of, is the rest of RTR (Resurrection to Reformation, to be clear) enough for Grade 9?
~Do I need to add anything for Literature (other than DITHOR 6/7/8)? (I was planning a combination of 6/7 and 7/8 Boy Interest books.)
~Does anyone have a list of what credits could be assigned to RTR's work? I don't need to do a transcript for reporting purposes, but would like to have one as a permanent record and don't know how to "quantify" the work he will do and need to learn that! (Hoping to learn more about this at this weekend's provincial HS conference!)
~Is there anything else I need to consider?

I know that what he will be doing will be more than acceptable with our province (very little regulation here; goes along with the $0 funding :wink: ) but would like to have a better idea of what qualifies as a credit compared to what is expected in HOD. I'm guessing that if in PS he would be "barely passing" but would be ushered to the next grade whether he was able to master the material or not, so I think "modified expectations" is acceptable for him, but don't want to limit his options for after HS by not having a transcript, either. So thankful for how far he's come in the last 1 1/2 years with HOD!

On the other end of my scale, my 10yo will likely be starting Rev2Rev by May! My head is spinning!

Rice - my daughter is using it for 9th grade, but she has many learning issues so I can't 'beef it up' as it is almost to hard for her as is. She will never be going to college so I do not worry about that part of it. I just use it as it is written at this point. She is learning and that is what is important to me......if she was in PS she would be in all special classes except maybe math (she is doing Algebra and does well with it expect for the word problems as language/comprehension is hard for her). I do plan to do an extra year of school with her (so could list her at 8th grade instead) and want to get though the WG guide (9th grade one) by the time she completes her schooling.

Thanks, Wendy. This son, although he struggles with the workload for his age-appropriate guide, still has goals for university. I know that many "graduate" PS without having the skills they need (like, a grade 5 reading level, for example) so I'm trusting that, even though the guide is lower, he will come out with the skills he needs (understanding of his strengths and weaknesses and how to use them, time management, knowing when and how to ask for help, etc.) that will help him succeed even in university.

That's why I'm asking where that mysterious "equivalency" line lies for this guide.
