I love what I am seeing in the Bigger. We are coming from a more traditional school enviroment and I thought that maybe we should begin with "Bigger." Now that I have it to look at, I am thinking that I need to look into "Preparing" before deciding. My children can begin with DITHOR. One of my dc struggles with reading. This is why I thought to do "Bigger," but now I see that the dictation is too easy and that is an issue. What do you all do with your more advanced spellers? Should I change based on this? I do desire to finish all the HOD before my now 10yo goes into 9th grade. If I swith to "Preparing," this would line up better.
FYI: We could begin with R&S 3, with no big problems here as well. For math we do CLE.
Thanks!
Looking at Bigger now, thinking of bumping up to Preparing

we6rblessed,
Since you're asking about Preparing..., the board will be pretty silent on this one, as I'm the only one whose seen the whole guide at this point!
I think it's really important to note where your kiddos are on the placement chart in the language arts area. I'm not sure of the ages of your kiddos, which also is a factor. Here's the placement chart link:

There is quite a difference between the skills required in Preparing and those in Bigger. So, we'll need more information about your little honeys, in order to advise you well.
Blessings,
Carrie
