Re: Week in Review: August 3 - August 7, 2015
This was a crazy week for us with several appointments, but I decided to start with school anyway because otherwise the boys would be getting into trouble.
We did 1/2 days each on Monday and Tuesday then had a full day on Wednesday. I was gone all day on Thursday, I tried to do BLHFHG with both boys together and it was OK but the younger one could not listen to the longer story and would just be bouncing on the couch distracting his brother. I had been doing LHFHG with them together during the summer and it went fine (a little easy for the older one), so I decided to try doing them separately today (full day) and it went SO much better. We started at 9:00am and were done just a little after 12:00pm. They both seem to like having their 'own' book, the older one especially. Happier boys makes for a happier mama!
I was going to add my 14 year old to the mix next week, but I think I will hold back another week and then get her started on Aug 17 with her LA stuff so that I can get the boys into a routine first. I will add in her other items (R2R) 1-2 weeks later depending on how well she adjusts to doing the LA differently than she has done before.
Here is a photo of my boys with their books.
