Ahahahahaha! We are delighted and giddy over here..! 37.7 lbs of books came today!
I let my son get them out one by one and look at them first and then hand them to me. Muuuuuch restraint on my part. I wanted to dig in! He was so excited. Rod & Staff grammar got the biggest reaction, I kid not. He LOVES grammar. Like bounce-in-your-seat-giggly when I pull out grammar each day. Who am I to question..? He was excited about most of the books too, especially the one about the The Trojan Horse, Capyboppy (does look cute!) and basically any book with soldiers, knights or Vikings... It is going to be a good year.
Spotting grammar:
When he first picked up grammar, before I made him go put a shirt on, LOL:
We are SO excited!

I love your pics! My kids actually look like this when I am passing down curriculum - especially my younger two
I did Preparing with my oldest last year and my middle child will do Preparing next year. That has been one of my absolute favorite guides. I can honestly say that Little Hearts, Beyond, Bigger and CTC have also been my favorites as well - to be honestly, every guide has just been wonderful (Little Hearts - story time, devotionals and music; Beyond - science experiments and history books; Bigger - notebooking and general skills [#amazing]; and CTC - watercolor, notebooking pages, and writing). But I feel like my love for Preparing revolves around it being my children's first real opportunity where they are taking full responsibility for their independent items. I also just love those picture books that they read for History and Science! My oldest had a really slow start to reading and had a lot of traits that dyslexics have. Preparing was the first guide she ever did. It got her completely interested in reading books and gave her the drive to keep going. I have some very tender memories from last year with that child and that guide.
Praying you have a wonderful year next year and I am excited to be completing Preparing again at the same time as you
Oh wow guys! Thank you for sharing the excitement! I have been enjoying reading through the guide and starting some of the books. Hehehehe, "preview"... Fun job!
This does look like an amazing guide! There is just so much in there. The books on their own just wouldn't be the same- at all! And I never would have found all the books at the age appropriate time and woven them together like this... with all the many skills scheduled in. Just amazing.

Oh yeah, Daneale, yes that will be fun to do Preparing at the same time as you (you write such lovely and detailed caring posts!). We should be starting Preparing around September. We are in unit 19 of Bigger now and go year 'round.
