Special HOD moment
My ds has a dream to one day open a parkour/gymnastics gym that will serve as a ministry to troubled kids as well as children with special needs. As it is a very unique dream he gets various comments when he tells people his dream, some encouraging, some not so much. He wants to call it Life for Christ parkour. Today we were reading Wilfred Grenfell from the WG Living Library. I still read these to him because his comprehension is better, plus I really enjoy them. Today we read about how Grenfell decided to start a sports club in his living room where he would teach boxing, gymnastics and weighlifting to boys and do bible study and devotional while they were there. I wish I had a picture of my ds's face when I read this! For him to hear of someone who did something very similar to what he dreams of doing was such an encouragement to him. Grenfell loved being outside and being active and this is very similar to my ds. Thank you HOD for giving him books to read about men that served Christ in unique ways. He can't wait to read more about Dr. Grenfell.

That is so awesome! I love finding treasures such as these in the books my kids read too 
Hopefully this moment will help to keep encouraging him on creative ways to reach others for Christ.

Oh Lynn, this just bought tears to my eyes. I can imagine the joy he felt when he heard that. May the Lord continue to bring such messages to his heart to reassure him he is on the right path.

I think the Lord leads our children to their God-given purpose through means such as these! Dr. Grenfell may be just the person the Lord has chosen for your ds to read about at just this time. I think we need more encouraging young Christian men like your ds, and his dream sounds big - big dreams are the best! They accomplish big things and show God's hand in it all.
