Rod staff book 4 lesson 46 question

Post by snadig » Tue Jan 27, 2015 1:41 pm

Ladies I have a question.

I was teaching this lesson to my son, but I couldn't remember when you use have vs has vs had. It has a chart, but is there a rule when you use one verse the other. Sorry for this silly question, but English is not my strength.

thanks for any help.

Not a dumb questions! I am total math head and just search the book. I couldn't find anything. I googled it that wasn't helpful either.

The one thing I did notice is that have is used with first & second person pronouns (I, you, and we) and has is used with 3rd person (he, she, it or they). Other then that, I am not sure about the word had LOL.

Had is past tense, and has and have are present tense (in general). Danealle is right that have and has are used for different nouns, somewhat similar to are and is (and am).
