Philippians 2-CD and NIV

I thought that the CD was going to be word for word the NIV. So, I printed it out in NIV for her. She says that the CD does not go along with the words exactly. That seems to confuse her when trying to memorize. She has a mix. Should I just let that be?

There are now two NIV versions. Maybe that is the issue? I am guessing the CD is NIV84. The one on Bible Gateway appears to be NIV 2011.

Oh! I don't have any NIV Bibles in the house. I'll have to see if I can find that other online. Thanks!

None of my other CDs have been close to NIV, is that one supposed to be NIV?

The music helps so much but we haven't really been able to use it because we are committed to memorizing in ESV.

You are so sweet Nealewill! I should've known you would have it--you are so on top of things! I actually just found the CD (we have it on the iPod) It has the words on the paper inside so I blew it up and copied it. Actually though, could you send me the email anyway? That would be better and on one page. Good idea to laminate--I'll do that also. I love my laminator. I'll PM you.
We use the ESV here also MelInKansas, but I thought I'd make it easy on her and do it with the CD.

I only noticed it because I went to (Link removed by board moderator per board rules) to listen to the CD and read against the print out I got from there and there were a few different words So I just copied and pasted the chapter in Word and then updated the wording.

Ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that it works well to sing along with the words provided in the CD insert. My boys do that as they sing, and it really helps. This will save you typing up the words, as they are all there for you.

Yes, I agree - I actually checked my case but I didn't see the words in there. I see them in there now but didn't at the time LOL. With the earlier CDs, I don't think words were provided so in my haste to have everything ready for my dd, I didn't even check. I will have to check future CDs though for future levels.
