Anyone using MFW ECC now and going to use Preparing?

Post by blessedx5 » Sun Jun 15, 2008 7:13 am

We are finishing up MFWECC and I was considering HOD Preparing but am concerned about overlap on the geography part.

Curious if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

We just finished ECC last month & will be starting with Preparing in August. I was thinking that it might actually be a help as he'll have a better idea of where everything is as we're discussing history.

Just think of it as reinforcement if there's overlap! :)

Debbie,

There will be very little to no overlap in MFW ECC and Preparing...! :D

Preparing... is a world history focus, while MFW ECC is a geography focus. Almost nothing will be similar. I can assure you that these are 2 completely different programs.

The once a week geography in Preparing... is all done on the globe and is matched specifically to the history you're studying. So, even the geography is history based.

Carrie

Debbie, we almost finished ECC and still deciding between CtG & Preparing. I ordered the Guide for Preparing and can't wait to finally decide. (I already ordered CtG months ago so that's why it's been hard deciding)

Let me know what you decide :)

MamaMary,

Thanks for that response! :D I know I personally am an answer-seeker, and I struggle when I cannot get the answers I'm seeking! So, at HOD we work hard to get back to people with answers in a timely fashion.

I especially appeciate the support of everyone on this board who helps answer and encourage other moms using HOD! You ladies are wonderful and truly a blessing!

Blessings,
Carrie
