LOVING HOD!!

We are only on Day 3 of Unit 1 for both Beyond and Preparing, but WOW... we LOVE it! My 10yodd already asked if we can keep doing HOD forever Well.. she said she can do without the dictation/copywork, LOL, but it is just because she is not used to it yet! Our days are so much more smoother now. I have done Sonlight, My Father's World and Bob Jones (all of it), and so far, HOD is exactly what I have been wanting. Not too much reading, but just right, crafts that are fun, engaging, and not difficult, Scripture woven throughout the program, and everything is so meaningful! I cannot express how thankful I am for HOD! I will begin Little Hearts next week for my almost 5yo. We plan to go at half speed for awhile:) Praying that my sweet little boy loves Little Hearts as much as my other two love Beyond and Preparing!

You sound like us in our first week! The kicker is, it stays that good!!
We love our new way to do school too. It is a wonderful way to educate for the mind and the heart.

Last year was my first year with HOD and we did Preparing and Beyond. It was the best year we ever had. I had come from Abeka, went eclectic, then did MFW for 1 year and then found HOD. It is a truly wonderful program. They learn a ton of interesting things, I love the independence, I love how Bible is interwoven into all the subjects, I love the hands on (MFW hands on took way to long and no one really wanted to do them), and I love that each level is geared toward them.
