Supplies for nature journal

I am trying to find the things I need for the nature journal in MTMM.
Can anyone give me examples of where they found a hardbound unlined journal? Can you describe what it looks like? Also what do two extra fine drawing pens look like? Is that simply a sharp ball point pen? Is it a sharpie marker? Are fine tip markers just Crayola? Same with broad tip?
When it says semi gloss paper, is that like what you print pictures on?
I would like to give my son all the things he needs up front, so he is not interrupting me during the weeks to find what he needs.

I found the hard bound journal at Michaels and I was able to use a coupon. It is back with the drawing paper. You can find the thin marker at Michaels also. It is not a ball point or a sharpie. It is back with the drawing supplies or you could use a Micron one that will be with the scrapbook supplies. You can use Crayola markers for the fine tip and broad tip. The glossy paper we used was fingerpaint paper. It comes in big sheets so I just cut it to size before hand.

So the glossy paper is NOT photo paper? I bought it because I read that someone else used it, but even as I was buying it, I couldn't imagine it working.

I bought a few semi-glossy and glossy scrapbook papers individually at Michael's, and those worked fine. I agree the glossy photo paper would probably not work. HTH!

I'm in Japan and don't have access to a Michael's. Hopefully we'll find something here that will work.
