We are stopping

Post by MamaBear23Cubs » Tue Jun 10, 2008 9:42 pm

It's time for my 8 year old to take her CAT test this week. My mother is giving it to her. We got to Unit 5 in Bigger and that is it. I am putting it on the shelf. I will continue in the fall with it using R&S 3 and Singapore 3A/3B. We finished One Small Square:Seashore.
I am going to finish up our Singapore Math 2A/B, First Language Lessons vol.2, and Emerging reader sets. I could keep doing it all but DD isn't ready for Preparing so that will be for the following year.
I did order my stuff for my son, Little Hearts For His Glory and got the extra workbooks for his tag along sister. I have a feeling she's going to be right there with him even though she is a year younger. We are halfway thru our Little Hands and I have added EZ Lessons because they want to do more school.
So come fall time I will be starting Bigger and Little Hearts with a soon to be 5 and 8 year old. My then soon to be 4 year old will tag along. I don't think I will do Little Hands again like I had planned. She's doing really well on it now. I will redo the bible stories parts of it again though. We liked those and she already says that's her book since I showed my son his new book. My oldest is happy that her brother will be doing offical schooling this winter like her. She isn't so thrilled being the only one with daily work.
oh and DS is looking for his box. I told him that he will have a box coming just for him.:)
Military wife and Mama to 3 (DD12, DS8, & DD7)

Isn't it amazing how much those little ones gain in just a few months! I'm glad you'll be getting a much deserved break! It feels good to know what you'll be doing when you pick back up again though, doesn't it!

Blessings,
Carrie :D
