Books for DITHOR?

Post by netpea » Tue Jun 03, 2008 6:45 pm

Hi, for those who have the DITHOR book list, I am wondering if the readalouds for Beyond show up in the suggested book list for DITHOR?

I was thinking of reading the ones we didn't read yet over the summer, but if they are on the DITHOR book list I might hold off for a while.

I won't be purchasing my stuff for next fall until July or August so I haven't seen the list yet.

Hey Lee Ann!

I'm thinking that way back, a long time ago, this was discussed and Carrie said that the read-alouds in Beyond only show up in Beyond....but, I just looked at my Sample Book List, and I think some of the titles are in there.....hmmm.... :?

I really don't see any reason why you couldn't do some of them later, actually sounds like a good idea.

LeeAnn,

Many of the titles in "Beyond.." and "Bigger.." are on the DITHR list. The DITHR list is just an overall list of good books for kiddos to read.

The read-alouds that are suggested in the Appendix of "Beyond..." and "Bigger....", however, do not overlap with one another (with the exception of 1 or 2 titles).

Hope that helps!

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks Mel and Carrie.

I didn't want to miss some of the other read alouds we didn't do but I will need books for DITHOR so I'll set some aside for that. I've found some at yard sales over the last week. I stumbled onto a former teacher's yard sale! We got 3 of the Narnia books for $.25 each.
