I have been taking 3 words from the spelling list and writing them on index cards. I lay them down beside each other and as I point to them DS will read them. Then I point and read them and flip them over 1 by 1. Now they're just blank cards. Now I'll switch them around and he tracks them. I move them slowly and only 3 times. Then he writes the spelling words on each card where he thinks they are. After he writes all 3, we flip them over and see if he tracked them correctly and check his spelling.
He loves this! And so far he has always gotten the spelling right and tracked them all. Amazing because even I lose track while I move them around.
We call it the "Switcheroo Game". We do it atleast once for each unit and he always gets excited. Hehe.
