Hello,
We are new and this is our first HOD guide. (World Geography) Just got it today.
I am trying to get our resources together but could someone please tell me, what is a common place book and what do we use it for?
Thank you for your help!

A common place book is just a journal from what I have read. It is where they put meaningful quotes and scripture they come across in their studies.

Yes, any sort of notebook will work for the common place book. Our first book we used a leather-like bound lined journal. This year I found these neat spiral bound journals that had nice 3D fronts that had a scripture on on them. I thought perhaps the spiral bound might hold up better for us but I'm not for sure yet since we've only been using them for a few weeks. Our regular bound ones eventually starting coming apart, but they were well used for several years before that happened and they weren't very expensive journals. So any notebook would be fine, but you want something fairly durable. We like making it more of a special book too so that's why we went for a journal type book versus a regular composition book.
