BOX DAY!!! (Finally!)

HAPPY BOX DAY TO ME!

Our dear friends, and my HOD box arrived last night (at 11:45 pm!) So, yours truly was up until 2 am   looking through our package! I am thrilled!
I am also surprised..I bought another math program to use for this year before I discovered HOD, but I went ahead and ordered Singapore too thinking we would use it to supplement because I wanted more mental math in our program.
It's true, that you really don't "truly" have a grasp on a program until you hold it in your hands because I am so impressed with Singapore from what I have seen! I had read reviews saying it wasn't comprehensive etc. but it looks EXTREMELY comprehensive to me. So..hmmm do I chunk the other math and come over completely to the Singapore side? I thought I was done making all my decisions for the year regarding curriculum
Oh, I also have to add that my sweet husband bought me some very high quality watercolors that I have been wanting for a long time but could never justify the cost of. I loved watercolor painting when I was in highschool and have just never gotten back to it with having little ones and all. So, I was surprised to find those in our goody bag from the states last night! Just had to share 8)

Oh how exciting! And what a wonderful surprise from your DH!!

About the math, you could start out with just singapore and see how it works for you and your kids. And if you feel you need more or different, you have the other program you were going to use as a backup.

Amey,

I'm so excited your boxes are there! :D :D I LOVE staying up late and pouring over new books. I just get goosebumps when I know I have a FIND in hand!

I'd agree to give Singapore a try as it is easier to change to Singapore earlier than later.

Blessings,
Carrie
