Beefing up Astronomy

We are doing Res to Ref this year. My Dd12 is more advanced than the Apologia book used in this level. Any suggestions for beefing it up for her, or another book that she can use instead!

My daughter is above this level too, however she is due to begin week 11 shortly. She has absolutely loved the study. It has engaged her, and the book is used only for about 14 weeks instead of spread over an entire year as the book is designed to be used. The activities, narrations, experiments attached also give it a much deeper understanding. Please do not disregard it, as actually being able to get a full understanding is far more important. My girl has stunned me with her absolute excitement when sharing what she has just done or read.
