Prayer Requests

Post by psreit » Mon Aug 12, 2013 7:07 am

Please pray for my 10 yo daughter. She is having surgery on her eyes this Thursday morning. She has strabismus and the doctor is going to straighten her eyes. We were dealing with an optometrist for several years and Angie was put in prism glasses. At the recommendation of our educational consultant, I took Angie to a pediatric ophthalmologist, and he said the glasses were not taking care of the problem. Angie has had much difficulty in reading, which could be primarily due to dyslexia. But, I am praying that by having this surgery, it will benefit her in some way in her reading. Also pray for her anxieties. She gets scared when she faces things like this.

Also, my mother-in-law is having surgery for cancer in her jaw this Friday. She will be having some bone removed. She will turn 82 years old two days before her surgery. Please uphold Alice in your prayers.

psreit,
I am praying for your daughter and mother in law. May the Lord be with you and your family. Comfort and peace.
I got prisms in my glasses about 5 years ago this helped with my eye fatigue but I don't have nor have had dyslexiaI. Pray
the surgery is a solution to vision problems.

Presit - I am praying for dear Angie and for Alice! Please pray also for my dad, who has his PET Scan to see if he is still cancer free, on Aug. 26. The name of the Lord is my strong tower, the righteous run to it, and they are safe. My hope comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." So many verses come to mind these days, and they bring comfort. I will remember Angie and Alice, as well as you in prayer today.

Love in Christ,
Julie

Thanks for all the prayers.

Julie-I will pray for your dad to be cancer free. Both of my grandmothers had cancer and passed away in the 70's. Otherwise, this is the first we have dealt with cancer in immediate family. My mother-in-law had a scan and there was no cancer found anywhere else thankfully. But, they are talking radiation after healing from the surgery. I think that concerns her as much as the surgery. Thank you for the encouraging Scriptures. And, yes, we can find comfort through them. I can't imagine going through these tough times without them and without salvation and a close relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. May God continue to bless you and Carrie and your families for the wonderful message you are proclaiming through this board and through the HOD curriculum. Can't wait to be back. :D
