How to name history on a high school transcript?

Post by little1stwo » Fri Aug 02, 2013 1:12 pm

I've been reading past threads on beefing up the guides for high school history and need some advice. My son will be using Rev to Rev for 9th grade and MTMM for 10th. In reading the threads, I have seen the history portion named:

Rev. to Rev -- Early American History up to 1900

MTMM -- Western Civilization 1880 to present

or Rev. to Rev.
Early Modern History .5
Early American History .5
Government .5

then MTMM:

Modern World History .5
Modern American History .5
Economics .5

Those of you who have made transcripts for your high schoolers - can you please tell me how you named the history portion? I am confusing myself and going around in circles. I know they can have different names and people name them differently, but can you tell me what colleges like to see?

Thank you!

Lynn

I did similar to you! For Rev2Rev, I have Early American History and Geography, and for MTMM, I have Modern Times History and Geography. I added the Geography in the title, because they do cover it weekly, along with the related history lessons. I need to add in the Economics yet--thanks for the reminder! :)

Thank you Heather - that sounds great! I like how you added geography : ) I wouldn't have thought of that.

Thank you!
