question about motor skills section in LHFHG

Post by betjte » Fri Jul 19, 2013 10:28 am

I was looking at the website for the packages for LHFHG and noticed that in the motor skills section for first grade that the title says "Going on Eagerly and Hearing and Helping." However, when you look below that to where you can click the individual books to add them to the cart, the second one says "Just Thinking and Choosing" instead of "Hearing and Helping." Has there been another change? Is the Just Thinking and Choosing book listed in the guide instead of the Hearing and Helping one now?

Thanks,
Bethany

I know they had to change the 1st grade fine motor skills a few years ago because what they were using wasn't in print anymore. So, I am guessing what is listed is what is in the new guide. Mine doesn't arrive until Monday, or else I would go look it up.

I just ordered mine of July 10th and the new guide along with those 2 books are supposed to be here soon...today or tomorrow I think. I think when I ordered it still said Going on Eagerly and Hearing and Helping. I'm not sure....maybe they ran out of Hearing and Helping. You'd have to call HOD to find out, I guess. I'll check what I got and what's in the guide when it arrives.

I just received my box with the manual and the fine motor skills books. I thought it was Hearing and Helping that I had ordered, but Just Thinking and Choosing is what I got. It's also what is in the new manual.

I am guessing that the website just changed to reflect the new guide, and some of us "jumped the gun" on ordering the new guide. I looked at the Rod and Staff website, and the new book is more advanced, which I like :)

I am excited these workbooks are used with the new guide. I am sure my daughter will love them. My son is just finishing LHFHG... wonder if I could sneak in the new Rod and Staff books along with Beyond? Or would that be too much extra? You ladies that have them in your hands- are they "not to be missed" wonderful? :D
