Do I need the 2A/2B Math workbooks?

Post by Bw3taz » Mon Jul 15, 2013 7:54 pm

I am trying to place an order and I am curious if I need the 2A/2B Math Workbooks? It says under Note: section Due to math plans in Bigger Hearts for his Glory, you will not need Textbooks 2A/ 2B. So I don't think I do but then I question why they put them on the page for... If I do need them will I need 2 sets if I have twins learning the same thing?

Thanks,

Shelly

P.s. Here is what my order would look like (see if I'm missing anything)

Economy
Science
Basic Package
Cheerful Cursive
Classic Book Set (for read aloud)
Dithor Teacher Package
2/3 extra student book

You will need the workbooks but not the textbooks (which you will notice aren't listed on Bigger's page but you can find on Beyond's page). Since they are workbooks, you will want one per kid. The basic package includes 1 set of workbooks, so you just need to add another set.

Oh gosh now I'm really confused..lol.. I didn't even see where it says it comes with 1. So all I need to order is 1 math workbook for $10.80? and I have to go to Beyond to order it?

AND an answer key?

With the basic package it says: Basic Package w/ Math 2A & 2B - $65.49 $59.47 – Save $6.02
(Includes Preparing to Build, Math 2A & 2B, Little Pillows, and Hymns for a Kid's Heart)

You can order the additional workbooks from the Bigger page. Just click on Math below where the basic package is. That is where you found you don't need the textbooks. You will want the A and B workbook, as together they make 1 year of math.

I so understand why you have been confused. I looked and looked for about 2 months before ordering (partly because I was waiting on the new LHFHG guide). I kept finding things i was missing or had overlooked too. But, now I understand how HOD has things set up, so it is a lot easier. I think the first time is the hardest for sure!

Looks like everything to me. You have history (economy package), science, math, bible and grammar (basic package), handwriting, and reading. Plus you have storytime and are using the library for the readers.

Thanks, I just placed my order and am so excited and nervous at the same time..Kind of made it official now. I have been teetering for a month and reading everything so I am just glad to have that part of it done..now to get it in and go thru it and figure out the next step. I want to try an organize everything as simple as I can and have everything neatly in a binder.

I have read where people take the Teachers guide and have it spiral bound and want to get it done etc. Now to make my list of school supplies and things to do next. I am super excited. Thanks for all your help.

Shelly,
You will need another cheerful cursive book (twins right?) as it is consumable.I enjoyed Cheerful Cursive. Send an email to Mike Austin to let him know so you won't have to pay for shipping on one book. They have excellent customer service.

You will also need a second DITHOR student book because it's consumable too. :)

Thanks everyone for helping me out. I have sent an email 2 days ago to Mike but haven't heard anything back yet. I know my first order has shipped and will be here Friday. Which I am super excited to get and go through. I am sure they are super busy right now and will give it a couple more days and then just order anyways if I haven't heard back from him on maybe waiving the shipping. I would say the only thing I see so far they could do would be write out beside the stuff that needs extra if you have 2 or more kids using the same material. Or a symbol to show this. I am new to all this and consumable went right over my head.. I just thought the cheerful cursive book was for me and they would use notebook paper to follow along..

Oh well no biggy, just go with the flow it will work out.

Thanks again

I agree that a consumable symbol would be nice. Or maybe a package of the consumable items per guide. It would be nice way for families to buy those for the next kid in line!
