To begin we just found out we are expecting our 5th child this September

One would think I would be trying to think of ways to make my life easier. However after much prayer and talking to hubby and kids, I have decided to spilt up my oldest two. They have been combined for as long as the second one has been in school. They are spilt for math, grammar and health. We are on week 20 of Bigger. My plan is to continue at full speed with my ds 9 and my ds 7 (soon to be

I will take to half speed.
I think this is necessary for my ds 7. He has been doing the work fine. But I really feel if I slow it down he will get more out of it. And we can focus on some other areas that are not his strong suit. His handwriting is ok when he tries but I really feel if I slow things down we could improve on it. I also am not sure he will be ready for Preparing full speed come July. (My ds 9 is already ready for it so I don't want to do it half speed with him) I know this means I will be working from one manual for awhile just in two seperate spots. Probably not recommended but I don't really want to just stop Bigger with oldest and start Preparing (unless this is what is recommended

. I have seen real growth in him this year. We looked over Preparing yesterday and he is excited to start the research. I have a few questions about doing this....would it be ok to let my oldest ds, who is a very capable reader, read the history and science on his own? This would greatly save me time

He loves to learn independently. I let him read his health to himself and then we discuss it. This is what I was thinking I would do now. I would greatly apperciate any suggestions. Thanks everyone, expecially Carrie and Julie for encouraging me daily.
Blessings,
Michelle
