Re: Pride and Prejudice gone from WG?
My daughter just completed WG and read Pride and Prejudice. When she gets to AH-2, will she read it again since the Guide's instructions go with that book?

World History Health
Please tell me I'm missing something. Since the Chapter Reviews are part of the grading for Health, it would be helpful to have an answer key for those, but I don't see it. I started making one myself for this year and future years. Easy? Yes. Time consuming? Yes! I hope I'm just being blind.

Re: DD Wants Public School
Tiffini, Thanks so much for sharing your personal experience, as it certainly is encouraging to me. Peer pressure comes at all ages, doesn't it?! My dd is younger & I'm sure less mature than your dd when she desired to attend school, but it does sound similar to my situation. And when you said, "......

Julie - Yes, I also tell my dc they can be a witness every day. Thanks for the specific ideas especially those for within the family. I've been too general. God's grace shines in your sweet, gentle words! Stacey - I like the idea of "training time." You would think a home schooling mom would have th...

countrymom: Didn't mean to leave you out. I began my post while you were doing yours, and I didn't see it. Thank you so much for praying. I like how you stated to see what she thinks and then "educate" her. There is a pun in there whether you meant to have it or not.

Each of you have lifted me up. Many thanks!!! shellbell : Thank you for the prayers. I took your advice and said we'd talk about it. I received many "but God is leading me to this..." Liz : To pray for strangers... THANKS! LynnH : I agree with you that she has this "high school musical" idea....

DD Wants Public School
As I was getting ready for bed last night, I found a pretty envelope addressed to me from my 12-year-old daughter. I smiled as I read it until the shocker: "...I'm sorry I can't tell you face to face, but I want to go to public school. I feel in my heart that God wants me to go to be a witness, and ...

Re: World History Teacher Guide
Carrie,
I'm really glad you responded to this because I didn't get a letter. It will be so helpful! I use those intro pages a lot in getting ready for the new year. I've already sent the request via email.
Thank you.

Re: World History Teacher Guide
I just now saw the pieces of the Appendix. I'm embarrassed. I tried to respond before anyone else did. I got stuck in Unit 1 with the references to sheets I didn't think I had. Thanks for responding. Do you know if Level 8 is the last dictation? Thanks.

Re: World History Teacher Guide
Liz, I will be using the WH guide this year. We usually start our year in June, but are having a difficult time getting started without the guide. I just received the shrink wrap plan installments, thanks to seeing in your post that it was available. I've seen some "check-in" posts from Julie that r...

Re: Do you go year-round or when do you start your year?
We start our year the beginning of June and finish the middle or end of March. This schedule works for us although it can conflict with summer things like Vacation Bible School. I prefer this because I love spring. It would be too hard to stay inside. The summer in NC can be very humid and hot. The ...

Re: When will the newest program be up on the website?
Thanks Carrie for doing all of this when you really are short on time!! One concern/question. We started with LHFHG in K, so my ds has always been on the younger age range of the guides. You mentioned this in your Sneak Peeks post: "...youngest age range of the geography guide, and may be using it w...

Re: HOD's Planned Scope and Sequence
I haven't been on the message board in a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised to see your comments, Carrie. In RTR my son has thrived. I do believe it is because he has been in HOD from the beginning and thus been able to handle each new year's guides. Just today I was considering how to slo...
